The Vibe: Smooth, “Overweight Lover” Energy. While Heavy D was the face, DJ Eddie F was the architect behind the scenes. He was one of the first DJs to master the “New Jack Swing” fusion—blending hip-hop’s hard drums with R&B’s soulful melodies. This duo proved that hip-hop could be “big,” friendly, and incredibly danceable.

Tragically Dancer Trouble T Roy also known as Troy Dixon (October 19, 1967 – July 15, 1990), and Heavy D, also known as Dwight Errington Myers, (May 24, 1967 -November 8, 2011) are both deceased .
