From the streets of Michigan to the stages of underground hip-hop, Rra Rage—also known by his alias Jericho King—has carved out a career defined by resilience, raw talent, and relentless ambition.

Early Life & Musical Roots.

Born in Michigan and raised with influences from New Jersey and Illinois, Rra Rage grew up immersed in diverse musical cultures. His connection to music runs deep—not only did he complete his first song at the age of nine, but he is also related to Hall of Fame legend Tina Turner, a fact that underscores the musical pedigree in his bloodline.

A Turning Point at 17.

At just 17 years old, his life took a dramatic turn. What others called prison, he referred to as “rap boot camp”—a four-year period that tested his spirit but sharpened his lyrical edge. Upon release, he wasted no time channeling his experiences into music, joining the group LiVe WiRe GooNz (LWG) and co-founding Fam 1st ILLAtainment. Together, they produced two LWG albums, laying the foundation for his future projects.

Building a Catalog.

Rra Rage quickly became a driving force in the underground scene, leading Fam 1st Illa with six mixtapes and selling thousands of records. His album The Takeover featured the club anthem “Bug OuT”, which became a local favorite. Teaming up with Go Gettas Entertainment, he released Real As It Gets, highlighted by the underground hit “Reminisce”.

Solo Breakthrough.

His solo project For My City marked a major milestone. With heavyweight Detroit producers BigHe and Helluva behind the boards, the album delivered standout singles like “I Get It Too” and “By Myself.” The project resonated with fans, selling over 13,000 copies—a significant achievement for an independent artist.

Current Work & Future Moves.

Now operating under Unquestionable Entertainment, Rra Rage continues to evolve. Alongside BigHe, he has released tracks such as “Cherry On Top” and “Favorite High” under his Jericho King persona, while still dropping music as Rra Rage, including the summer smash “Baywatch.” With countless songs, videos, and projects in the pipeline, his trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.

Whether as Jericho King or Rra Rage, he remains a voice of grit, survival, and ambition in the Midwest hip-hop scene. From a nine-year-old writing his first song to an artist selling thousands of records, Rra Rage’s journey is a testament to perseverance. His story is not just about music—it’s about transformation, redemption, and the power of art to turn struggle into success.
