The Vibe: Pure West Coast Funk. DJ Quik is a literal genius—he produces, raps, and mixes his own records to a “platinum” standard of audio fidelity. When he teamed up with AMG, they created a playful, party-driven sound that was less about “gangsterism” and more about the “groove” of Southern California.
